Run Through the Tall Grass (Copyright 1999 Harvey-Fowler)

She touches me with eyes all blazing yellow
Her shaking hand reaches out to me
It's time to run again, I know that she will follow
If you don't believe, look out your window

Run through the tall grass run through the night
Run from the sirens blare, run with all your might
Riding pale white horses with sword raised for a fight
I won't give in or let her win, she must keep up till the light

Leap out the door, keep running till tomorrow
It's cold and damp, with pain as deep as sorrow
I see below, where the brimstone seems to becon
A lurking hell calls out to me, bid farewell, your life you must now recon

Run through the tall grass run through the night
Run from the sirens blare, run with all your might
Riding pale white horses, with sword raised for a fight
I won't give in, or let her win, I'm reaching for the light

She touches with her eyes, I can run - I cannot hide
Softly goading cause she knows, I miss her by my side
She gently calls, my anger stalls - I need her that is all
A roller coaster ride, on the turning tide, lost now deep inside

Run through the tall grass, run through the night
Run from the sirens blare, run with all your might
Riding pale white horses with sword raised for a fight
But nothing's changed, just rearranged, I turn & hold her tight
